Christmas 2024 – great joy thanks to your help
Dear friends and supporters,
We would like to thank you very much for your generous support of our Christmas campaign. We received around € 6800 in donations, which enabled us to fulfill many Christmas wishes and create a basis for our major “Basketball” project. We greatly appreciate your willingness to help and your many years of loyalty, a big thank you.

Our special thanks go to the company Cosnova from Schwalbach/Ts., which has been supporting our association for 12 years and has also pledged further financial support for 2025.
Christmas joy for young and old
The smell of cookies, a decorated Christmas tree, presents and time together – once again, the PATRIA and Sonata foster family staff organized a wonderful Christmas for the children and young people.
The PATRIA team had a particularly nice idea this time. An elderly lady sewed beautiful fabric bags in which the gifts for the young people were wrapped. This sustainable packaging was well received. The young people each received a coffee to go cup in their favorite color and the bestselling book by James Clear “Atomic Habits, tiny changes, remarkable results”. “A valuable gift that can be put to good use,” Monika said happily at the gift-giving ceremony.
There were also shining eyes in the Sonata foster family at Christmas, and the excitement was huge, because the parcels were only unwrapped in the morning when everyone was awake. Santa Claus fulfilled heartfelt wishes such as the new radio with microphone and loudspeaker for Dominykas or the small jewelry box, new earrings and Hello Kitty pyjamas for Aiste’.
Of course, all the social workers and carers from PATRIA and the Sonata House foster family were also remembered to thank them for their valuable and loving commitment to our protégés. Each employee received a voucher to fulfill a wish.
Basketball project for young men
Your generous donations will now enable us to launch our most important project in 2025. Together with social worker Laisvydas from Patria, we will build a basketball team consisting mainly of teenagers and young adults who have grown up in care facilities. The team will take part in regular league play. We will keep you up to date on the progress of the project and the team’s successes.

This year, we will be visiting the children and young people again and spending a varied weekend with them. We cordially invite you to travel with us to Lithuania to get to know our protégés, their beautiful homeland and our projects.
An encouraging story
Last but not least, we would like to tell you about Akvile, a young woman without parents who we have been supporting for many years. After completing a degree in business administration and working for some time, she is now taking on a new challenge. She has decided to train as a midwife and is finding the fulfillment she had been missing. We support her on this journey and are delighted to hear her latest news:
“One semester is already over and I sincerely thank you and all the people who work with you for the scholarship and the opportunity to pursue my goals. Studying midwifery has been one of the best decisions I have made-I feel truly happy with my chosen path.”
It is these wonderful moments that motivate us to keep going, and we thank you, dear friends and sponsors, from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us on this journey.
